The property is wonderful! The location is great, quiet and there is street parking. I loved that the property is gated. The beds are extremely comfortable and it is very spacious.
It is walking distance to the french quarter but we chose to Uber $7-$8 each way. Our hosts were extremely helpful and quick to answer any questions we had. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a comfortable stay. We will definitely be back!

This property was well-managed, clean, convenient and beautifully decorated with premium linens. We really enjoyed our stay and all the attention to detail. We ended up in the downstairs of the building, which was different from the pictured property but was more spacious with an extra bathroom, so no complaints! We also felt very secure with a locker by gate and security system. We were told to help ourselves to anything in the kitchen, but weren't exactly sure of what was for guests to use, so written instructions would be helpful. Other than that everything was great and we would stay again!

We had 3 couples that stayed for two nights prior to getting on a cruise ship. The house is perfect! There was plenty of room. The furnishings and linens are high end and BEAUTIFUL! We used the back patio each night to wind down and each morning to enjoy our coffee in the sunshine. Kelly was there to greet us when we arrived and was a pleasure. He was so friendly and helpful. It was our first time in New Orleans and I had messaged the owner a few times prior to our arrival to ask questions and she was quick to reply and super helpful. We will definitely be back to the Big Blue House!

The house, owner, and property manager are absolutely stellar. The proximity to the French Quarter is perfect. It's close enough to walk, but quiet enough to get some great sleep when you're done. The house and decor are exquisite. I traveled to New Orleans from The Woodlands, TX with some close friends for my birthday getaway weekend. Everything went perfect, starting and ending with this lovely home. We ran into some booking confusion with VRBO, but Kathleen was a lifesaver. Her hospitality in a semi-chaotic situation with VRBO was more than any homeowner would have been willing to do. Upon arrival, our jaws were on the ground in awe of how beautifully remodeled and decorated this house is. I can say with 100% certainty that whenever I make plans to visit this fun filled city, I will arrange those plans around the availability of The Big Blue House. Thank you for everything!

The place was beautifully decorated and had all of the essentials for our stay. The location was perfect. It was walking distance to Frenchmen Street and less than a 10 minute drive to the French Quarter. We will definitely be returning!

Had a great stay at this well appointed property. The rental is in the up and coming Marigny neighborhood. It's about a $7 uber ride to the French Quarter. It's nice to be a but removed from that area. We didn't have any trouble at all sleeping, it's very quiet at this property! We were greeted when we arrived by Kelly who showed us around and explained how to get in and out. He and Kathleen were both very responsive to all of our texts. We didn't get to walk around the Marigny too much but it looked like there were several restaurants close by. The property is very comfortable with high end finishes. Would recommend!

We would recommend this place to friends and we will definitely stay again in the future. It is located in the historic Marigny area and very close to great restaurants and bars. We enjoyed our breakfasts at Who Dat Coffee Cafe and lunch at the St Roch Market and dinner at Mimi's in the Marigny. It took us 5 minutes to walk to Frenchmen St and it cost us about $7 to Uber to Harrahs Casino on Canal St. The house was clean, the beds were very comfortable and it was one of the finest Vacation homes near Frenchman Street in New Orleans . Internet was provided as well as a TV with all the movie channels. We also enjoyed the back yard as we had full access to the yard. Thanks for a great stay and hospitality.

This house was amazing. We had 12 girls stay for a girls weekend and we couldn’t have asked for a better home. The owner was extremely accommodating & also helpful with suggestions about places to eat & go! The house was absolutely beautiful! I recommend if you’re looking for a place to stay a little outside of the quarter you stay here, plus there’s a pet peacock!! It’s also a short Uber ride to the quarter & the airport! Thank you so much for everything Kathleen! See ya next year!

This home was just as beautiful as described and even more so. Everyone remarked how inviting the home was. The grandparents loved sitting on the porch watching the neighborhood peacock!
It made for the perfect home away from home as we hosted family and friends for our daughter's graduation. And it was the perfect location, just a few blocks from the university which made for easy travel to the graduation venue. And the home host was very responsive and gracious. If we ever need a place for the family in NOLA again, we will surely book this house.

When we first arrived, we had some apprehension regarding the area (since we came off an almost industrial like main road, and there were multiple construction trucks and other vehicles on the side street that we came in on.) HOWEVER - I am happy to say that any of our reservations were quickly negated once we settled in and explored the neighborhood and everything it had to offer. Beautiful house located in a fantastic, quiet neighborhood with many dining and entertainment options - and only a short 10 minute drive to the Convention Center or Bourbon Street! Highly recommended. Great owner. Would definitely do this again.

Thank you for allowing us to use your house. We enjoyed staying at the home as we had full access to the kitchen and a large dining table that allowed us all to dine together. We enjoyed sitting on the porch at night and it was nice to have movie channels on the TV. The beds were very comfortable and the neighborhood was nice. We found some good restuarants close by on Carrolton and the street car was close for us to ride along St Charles and all the way downtown without fighting all of the traffic and parking.

We stayed here while my mother recovered from a procedure she had done at the Mayo Clinic and it could not have been more perfect. The house was extremely clean and fully furnished. Truly a home away from home! A quite neighborhood but close to several grocery stores and good restaurants. Kathleen was an amazing host! Extremely friendly and very easy to get a hold of. She checked in with us a couple of times during our stay, just to make sure everything was ok. Don't hesitate to rent from her!

One of the best vacation rentals I've ever stayed in! If I had to compare this home's vibe to a New Orleans destination, it would be Frenchmen Street. The house is very artistically appointed, with a combination of repurposed items and modern design. The artwork is reminiscent of the jazz influences of Frenchmen and the hardy, resilient nature of the NoLa spirit. The kitchen, the bedrooms, the bathrooms: everything was absolutely perfect. Charlie was the best host, he checked in on us during our stay via messenger and offered suggestions to take our stay to the next level. We were within walking distance of some amazing local spots, like The Joint and Bacchanal and only minutes away from the French Quarter. 100% plan to go back and would suggest the same for anyone who is looking for an artistic and upscale experience in the city of New Orleans.

Francis was an amazing host, and was quick to respond to any questions we had. The two biggest questions being where the off road parking is and the correct information for connecting to Wifi. Both of these questions were answered in the white binder found in the kitchen. We had three cars and were able to park on the road right next to the house the whole time. The house was much larger than expected with beautiful furnishings. The kitchen and bathrooms were also well stocked with supplies. The home is located in an older neighborhood and not too far from the French Quarter. We walked there a couple of times during the day, but not at night. There is a gas station and CVS right next to the house. Melba's is a couple blocks away and a great grocery store, Roberts, a few blocks away. It had fresh meat, a deli, bakery, everything you need. We would definitely stay here again!

Let me start by saying that Franics is an AMAZING and responsive host! She was in constant contact through the app whenever I had a question or needed something. The place itself is amazing. I traveled with a group of 6 friends. There was more than adequate space as everyone had a bed to sleep in and we had plenty of nice areas to sit and talk. The property was sparkling clean upon arrival and everything that we would need was right at our fingertips. There were even umbrellas for use for us. I know that others have complained about the area but we didn't see it as a problem. While suburban people may find it a "rough" neighborhood, we thought it was fine. We had no problems with the location. There is a gas station with a convenience store about 30 yards from the front door and there is also a CVS across the street from there so that we could pick up water and juice, etc. Also within a two minute walk is "Eat at Melba's". This was a winner for us. Some may call it a hole in the wall but the place has authentic creole food and drinks and it wasn't expensive...about $10 per person. They had a broad selection of food that was ready quick. My suggestion, if you are traveling with a group to order a couple of platters (pork chops, chicken, mac and cheese, etc.). It saved us money on eating and we didn't have to cook. I will definitely stay at this property or any of Francis' properties again.

Close to FQ, Bourbon St. and Frenchman St. Pretty well stocked with all necessary amenities and one of the best Luxury Vacation Rentals in New Orleans . I do recommend going out in groups and not walking alone while at night. Overall property had great value, location and recommendations.

The house was exactly what we needed for the weekend. Plenty of rooms, beds and space to spread out. The walls are a little thin and you can hear street noise clearly. The neighborhood is in transition but wouldn’t recommended walking around at night. Quick uber ride to anywhere we needed to go. We did lose electricity the last night when cleaning up and trying to run the dishwasher. We went to bed without realizing and woke up freezing. Owner was responsive to the outage but we were up and out early to make it to the airport.

This super clean cozy home was just what our group needed and we enjoyed coming home to this super comfy space. Nice quiet neighborhood and not too far from the action. Even though this was a work trip we came home to a good hot shower w great water pressure and a comfortably decorated bedroom. The space allowed us all to be together in the kitchen and living room areas as well as privacy when we didn’t want to be together. I would definitely recommend this home. Thank you Mark

Amazing house and the host was so accommodating! We had 14 people staying with us and we were able to fit everyone with more than enough room! The home is beautiful and has this really cool cross between old and new that made it pretty charming. It’s good for hosting a large amount of people and has a nice open space in the middle for everyone to congregate. The only part I didn’t personally like is the neighborhood. It’s in a rougher area than I expected, and while my group was large, we were a little extra vigilant while walking nearby.
